Therapy Modalities Offered

At Kindred Connection Therapies, I use a flexible, evidence-based approach to support each client’s unique needs. Therapy is not one-size-fits-all, and I believe the most effective work happens when treatment is tailored to the individual and the goals we are working toward.

Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT)

PCIT is an evidence-based therapy designed to strengthen the relationship between caregivers and young children while improving behavior and emotional regulation. This approach helps parents build effective tools for managing challenging behaviors while increasing connection, confidence, and consistency at home.

Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE)

SPACE is a parent-based treatment program for children and adolescents with anxiety. Rather than focusing on changing the child directly, SPACE helps caregivers reduce accommodations that unintentionally reinforce anxiety while increasing supportive responses that build confidence and resilience.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

EMDR is a trauma-informed therapy used to help individuals process distressing or overwhelming experiences. EMDR can be effective for trauma, anxiety, and other emotional challenges by helping the brain reprocess memories and reduce their emotional intensity.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

CBT is a structured, evidence-based approach that helps clients understand the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. CBT is often used to support anxiety, depression, stress, and self-esteem concerns by teaching practical coping strategies and new ways of thinking.

Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS)

Collaborative Problem Solving is an approach that helps children, teens, and families work through challenges in a respectful and skill-building way. CPS focuses on identifying underlying needs, improving communication, and developing problem-solving skills together rather than relying on punishment-based discipline.

Integrative and Client-Centered Therapy

In addition to these modalities, I draw from other therapeutic tools and approaches to ensure therapy stays responsive, engaging, and effective. My goal is to create a supportive environment where clients feel understood and empowered as we work toward meaningful growth and lasting change.
